Step 3

Book and prepare for your consultation!

1. Expect between 1-3 sitters to arrive to your home or virtually over Zoom

We like to have you meet all your potential pet sitters, ideally at the initial consultation. Sometimes scheduling does not allow for all sitters to be present, so we are happy to make secondary arrangements to meet them at a later date that is convenient.

Due to current COVID-19 concerns, we are happy to conduct consultations over Zoom. Simply select that you would prefer the virtual consultation in lieu of the in-person consultation on the Booking Consultation form.

2. Be prepared to show us your pet's routine

Most of our sitters are visual learners, so we love to go through a brief overview of your pet's routine in person with you. This ensures we are confident and educated on how to provide the very best service and experience for you and your pet.

For more involved feedings or medication demonstration, it is best to schedule consultations at your usual feeding or medicating times so that we can go through the routine together.

3. Provide household access

We request either three sets of keys (one for the office lock box, one for the priority pet sitter, and one for the alternate pet sitter), OR a lock box code to be kept on your property or electronic keypad entry.

We discourage access apps such as August or Kevo, but will use them if requested and set up properly for ease of access.

We do offer lock boxes for sale, so please indicate if you would like us to provide one at the consultation by choosing so on the consultation booking form.

4. Show vaccination records

For safety of our sitters and per our insurance requirements, we need to see all dogs current vaccinations.

For dogs under 6 months, we need to see that the Distemper/Parvo combo vaccinations are being provided on schedule per your veterinarian.

For dogs over 6 months, we require proof of rabies vaccination and the full round of Distemper/Parvo combo vaccinations (or titer test results).
